Apple App Process Angers iPhone Facebook Developer

This is pretty big news on Twitter right now. It seems that Joe Hewitt, the guy behind the iPhone Facebook app, has quit developing for it. On TechCrunch they had an article on it, and he doesn't like how Apple approves apps for it's app store. There are many other articles about the hypocrisy that is the Apple App Store.

Hewitt believes in an open development, and that's why he is returning to web development. As for the Facebook app, he left it to another able developer.

Then a couple minutes ago, there were posts about Apple making changes to it approval process. They added a progress list for pending apps, and I guess have made it easier to get approved, or that's what I've read.

You know I love Apple products, and I am probably getting an iPhone soon, but seriously Apple? People have been sick of Apple's process, but Apple has done anything about it, then a major developer leaves, and Apple scrambles to try to fix it. I think that shows you Apple doesn't care about the average Joe (not Hewitt though!).
